In Search for Zora

Alice Walker went through a lot to find out about Zora Neale Hurston.
When ever she Walker finds some one to take her to Eatonville she goes all out. She searches everywhere even under a rock  just to find where Hurston lived, Where she was born? Who she talked to? and more. One of the things that Walker did a lot was look for clues in Hurston's books. That's the way she found about Eatonville. Walker even told the people she met that she was Hurston's niece just to get people to open up to her and not seem like a total stranger.
Throughout the journey, Walker found out that things have obviously changed from the past to now. She realized how much times have changed and why there wasn't a proper burial for poor Hurston. She also realized that when ever you want something yo have to do everything you can do to achieve it. Just like she lied about being Hurston's niece.

  2. Great job summarizing the 13 page passage well and bring it to an understanding, but do you personally feel like Hurston deserves the treatment she has been given, do you think her novels and essays were magnificent enough to bring so much attention up to this point?

  3. Nice job. But do you think that Alice was inspired to find herself as well?
